Antique Oil Paintings

About this collection

Antique oil paintings are original works in oil on canvas, panel or copper, painted between the 16th and the 19th century. It is the medium in which almost the entire European tradition, from the Old Masters to the Impressionists, was built.

The paintings presented here span that whole tradition, from Baroque religious subjects and Grand Siècle portraits to Barbizon and Impressionist landscapes, still lifes and genre scenes. Many of them are signed, and many are presented in period frames. Each is an original work in oil, hand painted and one of a kind, sourced in France and shipped free to the USA and Canada.
