Antique Animal Paintings

About this collection

Animal painting is one of the oldest pleasures of European art, practised from the seventeenth century onwards, from Old Master dog portraits and farmyard scenes to hunt scenes and beloved companions.

The animal paintings presented here span several centuries and schools of European art, most of them signed and presented in period frames. A dog portrait or a sporting scene remains a classic choice for a study, a library or a country house wall. Every painting ships free from France to the USA and Canada.
