Victor Spahn (born 1949) is a French painter, born in Paris, known as the painter of movement for his golfers, racing cars, polo players and yachts. He designed the poster for the first Paris-Bercy tennis Open in 1986 and for the 1992 French Formula One Grand Prix.

Signed lower right V. Spahn. 18 x 15 inches (46 x 38 cm), the frame 21 x 18 inches (53.5 x 46 cm). Black frame with a gilt outer edge. Good condition, small losses to the frame edge.

He is already looking at where the ball went.

The swing is finished. The club is up behind his head, his weight has come round onto the left foot and the right heel has lifted off the turf, and the red cap and the pink shirt turn with him. Two men wait further back on the fairway beside a red and white bag, one with a hand on his hip. Nobody has a face. The wood behind them is a wall of dark green, flicked over with lighter green and spattered with fine dots of paint, and the only light in the picture comes down the gap in the trees where the ball has gone.
